Who Snores the Loudest?

So last night as I was trying to get Payton to fall asleep - Bo got up next to us to assure me that he was tired and to find out why weren't we going to bed.

Well those sad puppy dog eyes of his made it too hard for me to tell him to get down off the couch. Which I am sure his daddy will not be happy about. But I let him curl up next to us. He's so gentle with Payton so I am not worried that he would be too rough with her. Plus you all know Bo - as long as he has a full belly and a cushy spot to sleep he good.

So he got to snoring - you know that obnoxious beagle snore of his - and I don't know if it was the lull of his snoring or what but in no time Payton was asleep.

So I sat there on the couch for a minuet just being thankful that as least someone other than the baby was getting some sleep.

Here's my two babies - fast asleep.

Hi Ho Hi Ho ..... It's off to Work We Go!

Well, I just couldn't help myself. I have been to the office everyday this week (even if it was only for a few hours).

Monday Drew was home so I was able to come for a good while, and Tuesday Miss Payton came with me, and today she's here for a little bit until her Grandma Kathy comes and picks her up and then tomarrow she get's to spend the day with her Grammy (my mom). So looks like I can spend tomarrow at the office too.

She's ok with being at work - as long as you feed her and all the boys tell her how pretty she is. Plus the bouncy seat (that Auntie Arin bought her) is her favorite thing right now. Maybe when she's older she can learn to file so mommy can have an assistant.

I know you all will think I am crazy - that it's only been three weeks and I want to be at the office. But honestly if you really know me you know that I can not stand to sit at home and do nothing - so I figured the best way to beat bordom was to come to work. I love my office - it's big and roomy and pretty - and almost as good as being home. My boss is nice - he doesn't care what I do as long as the work gets done - and the rest of the guys are just happy when I am here and they don't have to figure out how to email me their questions. Other than that I am sure it's just a control issue - can't let anyone else do it because I do it best - kinda thing. So here we are ... at work.

And just to prove to you that there is no illegal child labor stuff going on .... here's Miss Payton at the office - in her bouncy seat - content.

Two Weeks.... and growing like a weed!

So Miss Payton is 2 weeks old! (well she was when i started to write this post - and somehow I haven't found the time to finish and she's now 2 1/2 weeks old) Its hard to imagine that she's only been in our lives for two weeks. She is such a blessing.

We are of course like any new parents - tired! But for the most part she is a sweet baby. Even though she is slightly confused about what night time is. :)

We took her to the doctor last week - she's 9 lbs. already. Which isn't hard to believe because she is going to eat us out of house and home. We went through the big container of formula in 1 week. The pediatrician said she was a healthy baby and everything looked good except she has a mild case of thrush. Nothing much to worry about - we just have to give her medicine on her tongue, which makes her kinda fussy. Other than that we are so grateful that she is a healthy baby.

It is funny how you can already tell what some of her personality traits are. For one she is impatient. When she decides she's hungry there's no warning - just screaming until you get the bottle to the mouth. And she has a preference for being held standing up - my guess is she can see more then the back of the couch when you stand up. She also likes to test her daddy - she'll scream like she's starving and when Drew goes to feed her she falls asleep - it's funny actually.

I think she's going to turn over soon - when we check on her while she's sleeping alot of times she's rolled to her side. And I don't care what anyone says - I think she really does smile already. ( I know deep down it's probably just gas - but it still sweet).

Other than that - just normal baby stuff ..... eat, sleep, poop, cry, eat, sleep, poop, cry......

We were playing with the camera to try to get a picture for the announcements - they turned out so cute - she is the prettiest baby (I know all mom's think this).

Payton's 1st Halloween

We dressed Miss Payton up as a Tootsie Roll for Halloween. (Against her's and her Daddy's wishes) But she was so cute in her costume - Even though I think she was irritated that it took me so long to figure out how to put it on her. Here's one of her pictures.... (notice how Diesel is trying to find out why she's so upset)

Then we went to mom and dad's to hand out candy to Trick-or-Treaters. Everyone thought she looked too cute - she was having none of it though. So after her grandmas finished taking all her pictures....

We changed her into some regular clothes and she was out for the night. Next year I promised her she could be a princess or something girly so she'd like her costume better.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!!

TAG.....

My cousin Kora tagged me from her blog to tell 7 things about myself that most of you would not know. This going to be hard because there are really not any surprising facts about me that ya'll wouldn't know - so I apologize in advance if there not juicy secrets. Here goes.....

1.) I make my own greeting cards - for everything - birthdays, Halloween, showers, babies - you name it - It really doesn't take as long as one would think but I think something handmade and personalized is nice to give.

2.) I go for a pedicure every two weeks - no matter what - and if my girl is busy I'll wait for her- I've even waited as long as 45 min. It makes me feel good and I like nice toes. (we'll see if this last now that Payton's here)

3.) I have a shoe fetish. I have a pair of shoes for everything you could think of. You can barely see my closet floor.

4.) I knew all but one of my great-grandmothers - and they were all alive well into my teens - my mom's grandma used to call me peanut.

5.) I work with all men - and I like it. There's no drama.

6.) My dream job in life is to rescue dogs and find them homes. If only I didn't need an income, had a lot of disposable money, and a lot of land to have them all on.

7.) I like commercials - sometimes better then the TV shows.

OK - so I know that was kinda boring - but there they are anyway. You are suppose to tag more people - but since Erica and Kora have already been tagged - and I don't know anyone else with a blog - I guess it ends with me.
